Nicole Wendel is a part-time Licensed Professional Counselor Associate in Virginia with a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and a Master of Education in Educational Counseling. She has experience working with adolescents in intensive outpatient and residential treatment, as well as working with individuals experiencing psychosis through the Fairfax County Community Services Board. Her clinical interests include sport and performance mental health, maternal and perinatal mental health, trauma, mood disorders, eating disorders, and executive functioning.

As a former NCAA Division I athlete and CrossFit athlete and coach, Nicole understands firsthand the connection between mental health, performance, sport injury, and identity.

As a mother herself, she is also passionate about supporting women as they navigate the mental and physical transitions of motherhood. She brings a compassionate, strengths-based, trauma-informed approach to her work. She is especially passionate about helping athletes and diverse populations build resilience, find balance, and explore the mind-body connection to move toward healing. In Nikki’s free time, she enjoys working out, spending time with her family, and adventuring with her chocolate lab!
